Simplest ratio 1 : 2.6

2b) Molar mass of compound = 33.4/0.1 = 334g/mol

ok heres the chem questions:

1. 47.4g of a compond of chlorine and oxygen contains 3.2g of oxygen.
a. Find the empirical formula of the compound. ( Cl=35.5, O=16)
b. If 8.7g of the compound contains 0.6X10^23 particles. What is the molecular mass of the compond
c. Hence determine the molecular formuala of tht compound.

2. 66.8g of a compound of iodine and oxygen contains 16g of oxygen.
a. Find the empirical formula of hte compound.
b. If 0.1 mol of hte compound weighs 33.4g, what is the molar mass of the compound
c. Hence calculate the molecular formula of the compound

3. In an experiment 6.2g of phosphorous(P4) reacts with 4.8g of oxygen(O2) to produce an oxide of phosphorous
a. Find the no. of moles of P4 molecules
b. Find the no. of moles of O2 molecules
c. What is the simplest ratio of P4 to O2 molecules.
d. If the molecular formula of the compound is PxOy, what are the values of x and y
